State HouseRepublican

WY-HD-44 State House

New Mexican Hispanic·WY State Representative (2023-2025)

Why This Race Matters

Trujillo was one of very few Latino state legislators in Wyoming history. While no longer in office after losing her 2024 primary, her tenure demonstrated that Latino candidates can win in deep-red Wyoming.

Lost August 2024 Republican primary to Lee Filer (54.5% to 33%). Her HD-44 seat is no longer held by a Latino representative. Not running in 2026.
