Julio Cortes is a Washington State Representative for District 38 since January 2023. He grew up in Wapato, Washington, after his family immigrated from Mexico when he was 5 years old. His parents were part of the immigrant farm working community in the small agricultural town, teaching him the meaning of hard work, perseverance, and pride.
