Lifelong Bronx resident of Dominican heritage. Grew up first with her grandparents on the Grand Concourse while her mother attended SUNY Albany, and later in Hunts Point with her mother and sisters. At just 12 years old, she became aware of social and environmental injustices in her community and began organizing.
Political Career
Before Politics
Community organizer at The Point Community Development Corporation teen activist program (A.C.T.I.O.N.) while still a teenager. Community liaison and then District Director for Congressman Jose Serrano at age 23. Worked with the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA).
Education
BA in Political Science, Vanderbilt University (Posse Foundation full-tuition scholarship, completed December 2020)
