Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, grew up in East New York, Brooklyn. Nearly 40% of her district is Latino. Member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Family & Heritage

Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Grew up in East New York, Brooklyn, and has lived in Sunset Park with her family for decades. Youngest of seven children born to a substance abuse counselor mother. First in her family to attend college. Alumna of A Better Chance program and National Urban Fellows.
