Marianna Anaya is a New Mexico State Representative for District 18, elected in 2024. Born and raised in Albuquerque, she earned a B.A. in Mexican American Studies from UT Austin and completed a graduate program in Race & Ethnic Studies in Education at UCLA. She helped repeal NM's 1969 abortion ban and led the coalition to pass Paid Family and Medical Leave.
