Eleanor Chavez is a New Mexico State Representative for District 26, serving since 2023. Born in Las Cruces, she earned a B.A. and M.S.W. from the University of Washington. A union organizer for over 40 years, she directed the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees, District 1199 (1997-2008).
