Elaine Sena Cortez is a Republican New Mexico State Representative for District 62, elected in 2024. Born in Roswell and raised in Hobbs, she is the Executive Director of MyPower Inc., the largest youth development program in Lea County. She also serves as a professor at the University of the Southwest and ENMU.

New Mexican Hispanic. Born in Roswell, raised in Hobbs. Father Pastor Fabian Sena is a Vietnam War combat veteran (U.S. Army Sergeant). Late mother Barbara Sena was a pastor and educator. Married to Efren Cortez with daughter Layla.
