Shirley Arriaga is a Massachusetts State Representative for the 8th Hampden District, representing Chicopee. A U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 2010 to 2020, she worked as an educator at Chicopee High School and a veterans liaison for Congressman Richard Neal before her election in 2022. She is the first Latina to hold this seat.
