Gary Enrique Bradley-Lopez is an Afro-Latino leader born to a Black father and Mexican immigrant mother in Kansas City, Kansas. He identifies as "Blaxican" or "Mejinegro." Placed in special education classes in elementary school despite his abilities, he overcame low expectations to become the first person from his high school to graduate college. A lifelong Wyandotte County resident, he is married with three children.
