Born and raised in Arizona by parents from El Salvador and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Mexico. First-generation college graduate from Tempe public schools. BA from ASU, JD from ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. Served on Tempe Union High School District Governing Board as president. Worked for U.S. House of Representatives, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and as staff attorney for unaccompanied children.

Family & Heritage

Born and raised in Arizona by parents from El Salvador and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Mexico. Grew up in Tempe, Ahwatukee, and Guadalupe. First-generation high school and college graduate. Former English Language Learner student. Member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.

Political Career

Before Politics

Graduated from McClintock High School in 2011. Outreach coordinator for Kyrsten Sinema during her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives. Worked for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Law clerk for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Staff attorney for unaccompanied children. President of the Tempe Union High School District governing board during the COVID pandemic.
